Remember, students: those who abuse their privileges on the Wiki will be removed from the site.

For book reports:

1. Log in using student username and password. (Click "log in" in the far upper right-hand corner of the page.)

2. Click the "Book Reports" link on the front page. This will take you to a page that provides guidelines for the reports.

3. If the student has created a page already, click "View all pages" on the right side of the screen to find it.

4. If the student has not created a page yet, click "Create a page" on the right side of the screen. Name it something like "Johnny's Book Report" and then click "create page."

5. When you reach the student's book report page click on the EDIT tab at the top of the page. REMEMBER- NEVER USE THE "EDIT" MODE ON ANY PAGE EXCEPT YOUR OWN.

6. Changes can only be made to the page in the EDIT mode. Be sure to frequently click Save at the bottom of the page. (This will automatically take you back into "VIEW" mode.)

To add a picture in your book report:

Find the picture you want on the internet in a different window. Right click on the picture to copy it. Go to your book report in the EDIT mode. Click on the screen where you want the picture. Then push "Ctrl" + "V" to paste it on the page. To change the size of your picture right click on it and type in a number for the width, such as "200." The height will auto adjust. Press Enter.

To create a link:

Copy the Internet URL address you want from a new Internet window. In the EDIT mode of your book report, click on the globe icon. Link type is URL. Paste the address in the box and click OK. Link should then appear on your page wherever the cursor was.

Feel free to be creative with formatting, such as text and background colors, fonts, sizes, alignment, and styles. If you have any questions, ask Mr. Eck and he will be glad to help you in class.
